Dear Jouett Families and Friends,
My name is Julie E. Bryant and I am the Principal at Jouett Elementary School. I have been a part of the Jouett faculty for fifteen years and am blessed and honored to continue to serve the students, families, staff, and community. I know we are going to continue blazing a trail in Louisa County.
I am grateful to have had many wonderful educational experiences that have contributed to my journey and passion for serving the Jouett community. I acquired my K-12 education in Henrico County in Richmond, Virginia. After graduation, I went to Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia where I grew to have a real appreciation for rural life and the joy of living and working in a close-knit community. While at Shepherd, I played Collegiate Volleyball and received my Elementary Education degree. I am a Jouett Trailblazer through and through, as all of my educational experience has been at Jouett. I have served as a special educator, language arts teacher, reading resource teacher, and assistant principal. In 2018, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. In addition to being passionate about education, I am also a wife and mother. My husband, Danny, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children, Kamden, Kenzie, and Kollins. I am abundantly grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the experiences I have as a member of the Jouett Family and TeamLCPS.
We are excited as we come together for the upcoming school year. Jouett’s leadership and staff are proud to provide innovative instruction that helps to enrich and challenge all of our students. We truly value relationships and we are excited for us to continue to grow our Jouett community. We will continue to “Be Legendary and Leave a Legacy,” this school year and I look forward to working with our students, staff, parents, and community.

Greetings Jouett Families and Friends,
I am incredibly excited to continue being a part of the Jouett family as an assistant principal for the 2025-2026 school year! This year marks 20 years in education, and two years as a Jouett Trailblazer. I began my teaching career with Onslow County Public Schools, located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. After completing my first year, I moved to Richmond, Virginia, where I began a 12-year career working for Goochland County Public Schools. I then went on to work for Henrico County Public Schools.
I began my educational studies at Daemen College in Buffalo, New York, where I graduated with dual majors in Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. I went on to attain my Master’s degree from Averett University, studying Curriculum Development. Lastly, I completed my Post-Master’s studies in Educational Leadership & Administration from George Washington University.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My daughter, Nova, and I love cooking together and trying new recipes. As a family, we also love to take road trips in search of new adventures.
I am looking forward to another successful school year by learning and growing together with the amazing Trailblazer students, staff, families, and community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance.

I am thrilled to join the Jouett family as an assistant principal for the 2025-26 school year! I grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia and moved to Richmond in 2002. I have been in the field of education for 22 years having served in Prince Edward, Henrico, and Hanover Counties before coming to Louisa. While in the classroom I taught students in preschool through high school (Biology, Ecology, and Anatomy). The majority of my career has been dedicated to working with students with exceptionalities.
I believe each student possesses gifts and talents that make Jouett and the Louisa community the best place to be. I have a passion for cultivating an environment where students are empowered to take risks and fail forward, learning from setbacks to build resilience.
I am a lifelong learner. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002, a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Old Dominion University in 2008, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech in 2023. I am also very proud to have achieved National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist.
When I am not at school I can be found with my husband and two children. We are a football family and also enjoy watching a good cooking competition. In the fall you will find us at my son’s high school football games soaking in Friday Night Lights!!
I look forward to working with each of you to support all students who walk into the doors of Jouett. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. I have never been more excited to begin the school year and join such a supportive team of educators and welcoming community!
