Good afternoon Trailblazer families,
This is Mrs. Bryant, your principal, calling to give you updates and reminders for this week at Jouett Elementary School. I cannot believe that the conclusion of the school year is just around the corner! Please remember that attendance matters, and there are so many fun opportunities at the end of the school year. It is very important that your Trailblazer is at school every day.
This week, we will continue attendance extended learning on Monday through Wednesday.
Our third through fifth-grade Trailblazers are going to have a big week showing all that they know on their Math Standards of Learning assessments. The schedule for these tests is as follows:
Tuesday, May 5th - Grade 4 Math
Wednesday, May 6th - Grade 5 Math
Thursday, May 7th - Grade 3 Math
Friday, May 8th - Grade 4 VA Studies
Families, if you see a conflict with one of these dates, please let the Front Office know as soon as possible. It is important that students come to school on time, do not leave early, and have had a good night's rest so they feel prepared. We know your students and our staff have worked hard for students to be able to show all that they know, and we are so proud of everyone! Let’s go, Trailblazers!

PreSchool and Kindergarten Applications
We are delighted to announce that LCPS is accepting preschool and kindergarten applications for the 2026-2027 school year. If your child is four years old by September 30, 2026, he or she may be eligible to enroll in our PK program. If your child is five years old by September 30, 2026, he or she is eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Registrations for both are available on any LCPS website!
