Good Afternoon Jouett Families,
This is Mrs.Bryant, your principal, calling to give you updates and reminders as we enter our second semester together. I hope everyone has had a wonderful and restful break and we are so excited and ready for our Trailblazers to return to Jouett, I am sure the best is yet to come this year!
Please remember that Monday and Tuesday are Staff Development and Teacher Work Days for our LCPS staff. This is a change to the calendar that was announced last month, due to a special election that will be held on Tuesday. We will welcome students back to school on Wednesday, January 8th. We can’t wait to see you!
January Resource Calendars will be coming home on the first day back to school and will be posted to our JES Facebook Page. If any weather causes us to miss school, an adjusted resource calendar will be posted to the JES Facebook page.
Report Cards will come home next Monday, January 13th. Please make sure to review the documents inside and check off and return the report card envelope if you have any questions or would like a conference with your child’s teacher or our content specialists.
Also, our STEAM lab asks that you save any empty ribbon spools or rolls. Please send them in in January in preparation for a STEAM project for 4th and 5th grades. Mr. Snider and Ms. Leiffer appreciate your assistance with this project!
Look for more information and RSVP forms coming home for our Jouett Elementary School Math and Literacy Night on Thursday, January 23rd. We can't wait to see you there, as we kick off the new year with a Super Bowl-themed night with dinner included. RSVP information will be sent home soon!
Finally, Don’t forget that we are partnering with Strawbridge for our 2024-2025 yearbook sales. We are offering a discount for early purchases, and this discounted price is only available for the remainder of this month. The early purchase price is $18.00.
