Good evening Jouett Families,

Happy Superbowl Sunday! I’m hoping the Rams come out with the victory tonight but you can never bet against Tom Brady! It will certainly be an entertaining game!

Last week was another Legendary week at Jouett Elementary! The Legendary Jouett PTA hosted our movie night and first ever Free Sale! Thank you to all those who came out for a great cause. The Free Sale will continue during our scheduled STEAM night on February 21st.

Tomorrow, February 4th is the 100th day of school! In an effort to highlight our Legendary students, Miss Spaid and I will be conducting 100 positive phone calls.

Congratulations to our Trailblazers who have raised money for The Heart Health Challenge. This fundraiser is an excellent way to raise money for a good cause as well as to help contribute to the Jouett Physical Education department. Check out the website for details:

As of right now, the Aminci Tribe and the Wajibu Tribe are tied for the most points. Keep earning Tribe points by showcasing positive behavior and positive character traits. The winning Tribe will receive the spirit stick at our next community meeting.

Are you interested in coding, robotics and engineering? Then come out for our annual STEAM Night! STEAM Night will be held on Thursday, February 21st from 5:30 – 7:30!

A local dentist will be coming to Jouett on April 1st and 2nd. Forms were sent home with our Trailblazers last week. If you would like your Trailblazer to be seen by the dentist please return forms back to Jouett.

This Tuesday, we will induct our newest members into the National Elementary Honor Society. The doors open at 7:00 am and the program starts at 7:15. Congratulations to our newest members.

This Friday, February 8th Jouett will be hosting our annual Career Day Fair. During resource class, Jouett students will be exposed to a variety of careers and employers. There will even be a visit by the helicopter Pegasus from UVA. I can’t wait to participate in this event!

In order to ensure student safety please accompany your student(s) to the front door during morning drop off or consider using the express drop off lane. Students should be with an adult when entering the front doors.

I am looking forward to another Legendary week at Jouett Elementary!
