Good evening Jouett Families,

Last week was another Legendary week at Jouett Elementary! On Friday we had our annual Career Day! Government officials, bankers, law enforcement, health care professionals, and others were all in attendance sharing their careers with our students. Way to be legendary!

Jouett students will embark on a reading journey together in five days. This will be the third year that all teachers, students, staff, and parents read the same book. Last week students got the first clue for their new book. Check out our Facebook page on school days to get new clues. One School, One Book will officially begin on Thursday, February 14th.

Congratulations to the 22 Trailblazers who were inducted into our National Elementary Honor Society! Thank you for your strong academics and service! We cannot wait to see the awesome things you all will do!

Congratulations to all our Trailblazers who have raised money for The Heart Health Challenge. This fundraiser is an excellent way to raise money for a good cause as well as to help contribute to the Jouett Physical Education department. Check out the website for details: http://www2.heart.org/site/TR?pg=company&fr_id=3997&company_id=179015

As of right now, the Aminci Tribe is in the lead for the most points. Keep earning Tribe points by showcasing positive behavior and positive character traits. The winning Tribe will receive the spirit stick at our next community meeting. Also, Tribe meetings will take place this week!

Do you have any Gallon size milks jugs at home? Our art teacher, Mrs. Lee needs rinsed gallon milk jugs for an upcoming art project. Please bring them in to school if you have any you want to recycle!

Are you interested in coding, robotics and engineering? Then come out for our annual STEAM Night! STEAM Night will be held on Thursday, February 21st from 5:30 – 7:30!

A local dentist will be coming to Jouett on April 1st and 2nd. Forms were sent home with our Trailblazers last week. If you would like your Trailblazer to be seen by the dentist please return forms back to Jouett.

In order to ensure student safety please accompany your student(s) to the front door during morning drop off or consider using the express drop off lane. Students should be with an adult when entering the front doors.

I am looking forward to another Legendary week at Jouett Elementary!
